1. 운영자와 적용 범위

운영자: 제이(개인 취미 개발자). 이 방침은 Listen Again 확장 프로그램의 아래 데이터 처리에 적용됩니다. Netflix·YouTube 및 Chrome 자체 서비스의 데이터 처리는 각 서비스의 방침이 적용됩니다.

2. 처리하는 데이터와 목적

• 자막과 작품 정보: 자막 본문·시작/종료 시간·자막 언어·영상 ID·작품 URL·사용자가 입력한 작품/회차 이름. 자막 목록 표시, 구간 재생과 복습에 사용합니다.
• 사용자가 작성하는 내용: 저장 구간·분류·메모·학습 일기·다음 학습 계획. 학습 홈과 일별 기록을 제공하는 데 사용합니다. 이름·이메일·민감 정보를 요구하는 전용 입력 항목은 없지만 자유 입력란에 직접 작성한 정보는 그 내용대로 저장됩니다.
• 저장한 단어: 단어 표기·학습어, 뜻풀이와 번역어, 예문 본문·영상 ID/URL·구간 시간·작품명, 저장 여부와 생성/수정 시각을 보관합니다. 단어장 표시, 같은 단어의 예문 추가, 원본 재생과 복습에 사용합니다.
• 학습 활동: 구간 저장·복습 판정·듣기 연습·생성/수정 시각. 선택 기능인 실제 되감기 자동 기록을 켜면 이동한 재생 구간과 되감기 후보를 저장합니다. 랜덤 복습에서는 항목 식별자·출제 순서/횟수·출제 시각·직접 선택한 판정과 응답 시각을 별도 로컬 기록으로 보관하여 최근 문제의 재출제를 줄입니다. 이해도나 발음 원인을 자동 진단하지 않습니다.
• 설정과 캐시: 화면 언어·학습어/번역어·표시/재생 설정, 학습 가이드 안내 닫기 상태·백업 생성 요청/알림 닫기 상태, 회차별 전체 자막 목록, 최근 영상과 작품명, 가져오기 전 로컬 백업. 기능을 다시 사용할 때 내용을 복원하기 위해 보관합니다.

확장 프로그램 자체의 회원가입·결제 기능은 없습니다. Netflix 로그인 정보·인증 쿠키를 읽어 보관하는 기능, 일반 웹 방문 기록 전체를 조회하는 기능, 원시 키 입력을 저장하는 기능은 없습니다. A/S/D는 재생 조작, F는 현재 자막 저장에 사용합니다. 단축키 입력 자체를 기록하지 않습니다.

3. 자막 접근과 네트워크 요청

Netflix 페이지에서 요청 URL·응답 형식을 구분하고 자막 형태의 텍스트 응답을 읽습니다. 페이지에서 자막 정보를 포함한 JSON이 파싱되면 자막 링크·언어 정보를 사용합니다. 필요한 경우 Netflix 및 허용된 Netflix CDN의 텍스트 자막 URL에 HTTPS로 요청합니다. 이 별도 자막 요청은 로그인 자격 증명을 첨부하지 않도록 설정합니다.

페이지 스크립트와 확장 스크립트 사이에서 자막과 구간 이동 요청을 전달합니다. 저장 구간을 새 Netflix 탭에서 열 때 주소의 해시 부분에 자막 텍스트가 포함된 항목 키가 들어갈 수 있습니다. 단어 예문을 원본 영상에서 열 때도 주소 해시(# 이후)에 단어 식별자와 예문 정보가 들어갈 수 있습니다. 해시는 일반 HTTP 요청에 자동 포함되지 않지만 원본 페이지의 스크립트가 읽을 수 있습니다. 개발자 운영 서버로 보내는 경로는 없습니다. Netflix 자체 요청은 Netflix가 처리합니다.

영상·음성을 녹음하거나 파일로 다운로드하는 기능과 DRM 해제 기능은 제공하지 않습니다.

YouTube 일반 watch 영상에서는 페이지에 표시되는 제공 스크립트의 자막·시작 시간과 영상 ID·제목을 읽습니다. 설명 펼치기·스크립트 표시 버튼이 자동으로 눌릴 수 있습니다. 별도 비공개 자막 API로 요청하지 않으며, 자동 생성 자막의 오류와 화면 구조 변경 영향을 받을 수 있습니다. 추천 영상 목록은 확장에 포함된 정적 목록이며 클릭하면 원본 YouTube가 열립니다. 플랫폼 자체 통신은 해당 플랫폼이 처리합니다.

4. 선택 번역

지원되는 데스크톱 Chrome에서 사용자가 번역 준비를 누르면 Chrome 내장 Translator를 사용합니다. 설정한 학습어와 번역어 조합으로 번역을 요청하며, 실제 지원 여부는 Chrome·언어쌍·기기 조건에 따라 달라집니다. 처음 사용할 때 Chrome이 언어 모델을 다운로드할 수 있어 네트워크 연결과 저장 공간이 필요할 수 있습니다. 자막을 개발자 운영 번역 서버로 보내는 코드는 없습니다. 일반 번역 결과는 현재 탭의 메모리에 잠시 보관합니다. 사용자가 툴팁에서 단어를 저장하면 그 뜻풀이도 단어·예문과 함께 로컬 저장되며 JSON 백업에 포함됩니다.

브라우저 지원과 모델 다운로드 조건은 Chrome Translator 안내를 따릅니다.

현재 제공하는 듣기 기능은 원본 영상의 구간 재생입니다. 합성음성 ‘바로 듣기’는 현재 사용자 화면에 제공하지 않습니다. 향후 이 기능을 활성화할 때는 실제 음성 서비스와 데이터 처리 조건을 확인하고 방침을 갱신합니다.

5. 저장 위치·보관·삭제

기록과 캐시는 chrome.storage.local에 저장하며 자동 클라우드 동기화는 하지 않습니다. 자동 만료 기간은 없습니다. ‘보관하기’는 복습 대상에서 제외하는 기능으로 데이터 삭제가 아닙니다. 분류를 해제해도 원본 기록이 남을 수 있습니다. 단어의 저장 해제는 단어장 표시를 해제하는 동작이며, 뜻·예문·해제 상태가 로컬 기록과 JSON 백업에 남습니다. 단어 내용의 완전 삭제와는 다릅니다. 현재 전용 전체 삭제·자막 캐시 정리 기능은 제공하지 않습니다.

필요한 기록을 먼저 JSON으로 백업한 뒤 확장 프로그램을 제거하면 Chrome의 해당 확장 로컬 저장 데이터가 지워집니다. 다시 설치해도 백업을 가져오기 전에는 이전 기록을 복구할 수 없습니다. 내보낸 파일이나 사용자가 별도 저장한 복사본은 확장을 제거해도 지워지지 않으므로 직접 관리해야 합니다. Chrome 프로필·기기 백업의 처리는 해당 도구 설정에 따릅니다.

학습 홈의 JSON 백업은 문장·메모·복습 상태·일기·단어와 예문을 포함합니다. 전체 자막 캐시·설정·학습 가이드 닫기 상태·랜덤 복습 출제 이력은 포함하지 않습니다. 가져오기는 기존 기록과 병합하며, 복원 전 문장·일기·단어의 안전 사본을 로컬에 보관합니다. 프로필 전체를 복사하는 백업은 아닙니다. 현재 검토한 버전의 학습 날짜는 한국 시간 기준입니다.

6. 내보내기·공유와 제3자

사용자가 요청하면 JSON·HTML·TSV 파일로 내보냅니다. 파일에는 형식에 따라 자막·작품 링크·메모·복습 기록 또는 일기가 포함될 수 있으며, JSON에는 저장 해제된 항목을 포함한 단어와 예문도 들어갑니다. 운영자가 해당 파일을 자동 수신하지 않습니다. 사용자가 파일을 공유하거나 다른 서비스에 가져오면 그 이후 처리는 사용자가 선택한 서비스의 방침이 적용됩니다.

현재 확장에는 광고 SDK나 개발자 운영 분석·원격 오류 수집 서버가 없습니다. 운영자가 로컬 학습 내용을 자동으로 읽는 기능도 없습니다. 시청·학습 데이터를 판매하거나 광고주에게 제공하지 않으며 개인화 광고·신용 평가에 사용하지 않습니다.

7. 데이터 보호와 이용 제한

앱 자체의 저장 암호화나 암호화된 내보내기를 구현하지 않았습니다. 로컬 브라우저 저장과 내보낸 파일을 안전한 비밀 저장소로 보장하지 않습니다. 계정 비밀번호나 민감한 개인정보는 메모에 적지 않는 편이 좋습니다. 사용자 기기·Chrome 프로필·파일을 보호하고 공유 기기에서는 접근 권한을 관리해야 합니다.

Listen Again은 사용자 데이터를 공개한 듣기 학습 기능 제공에 한정하여 사용하며, Chrome Web Store User Data Policy의 Limited Use 제한을 준수합니다. 범위를 바꾸는 기능을 추가할 때는 실제 동작·이 방침·스토어 데이터 신고를 함께 갱신합니다.

8. 문의와 정책 변경

사용자가 지원 문의에 직접 첨부한 자료는 자동 학습 업로드와 별개입니다. 문제 확인에 필요한 정보만 공유하고 개인 메모·계정 정보를 지운 뒤 보내세요. 이메일 문의는 이용자가 직접 보낸 이메일 주소·내용·첨부 자료를 문의 확인과 회신에 사용합니다. 문의 해결 후 30일 이내 운영자가 관리하는 문의·회신·사본을 삭제합니다. Gmail 자체의 처리는 Google 개인정보처리방침에 따릅니다.

방침을 변경하면 이 페이지의 시행일과 내용을 갱신합니다. 공개 안내 페이지의 호스팅 처리는 아래 GitHub Pages 항목에서 안내합니다. 이 안내 페이지에는 추적 스크립트·외부 폰트·외부 이미지가 없습니다.

Privacy policy

1. Publisher and scope

Publisher: Jay (individual hobby developer). This policy covers the extension's processing described below. Netflix, YouTube and Chrome apply their own policies to their services.

2. Data processed and purposes

• Subtitles and title details: Cue text, start/end times, subtitle language, video IDs, Netflix and YouTube video URLs and title/episode names you enter. These support the subtitle list, playback navigation and review.
• Content you enter: Saved cues, categories, notes, study-journal entries and future study plans. These provide your study home and daily records. The extension does not ask for your identity or sensitive information in dedicated fields, but any information you type into free-text fields is saved as entered.
• Saved words: Word spelling and source language, meaning and translation language, example text, video ID/URL, cue timing and title, saved status and creation/update times. These support the word list, additional examples, source playback and review.
• Study activity: Saving cues, review ratings, practice events and creation/update times. If you enable rewind detection, the extension stores playback movements and suggested review candidates. Random review stores item identifiers, presentation order/count/time, your selected rating and answer timestamp separately on the device to reduce repetition of recent questions. It does not automatically diagnose comprehension or pronunciation.
• Settings and caches: Interface, learning and translation language choices, display/playback preferences, study-guide dismissal and backup-request/reminder preferences, full subtitle lists for episodes, recent video/title details and local pre-import backups. These restore the study interface when you return.

The extension has no account or payment system. It does not store Netflix login credentials or authentication cookies, query your general browsing history, or save raw keystrokes. A/S/D control playback and F saves the current caption. Raw shortcut inputs are not recorded.

3. Subtitle access and network requests

On Netflix pages, the extension examines request URLs and response formats to read caption-like text responses. It uses text-track links and language information when relevant page JSON is parsed. When needed, it requests text captions from Netflix and allowed Netflix CDN hosts over HTTPS. These separate caption requests are configured to omit credentials.

Subtitle information and cue-navigation requests are passed between the page and extension scripts. Opening a saved cue in a new Netflix tab may place a record key containing subtitle text in the URL fragment. Opening a saved word example can also place its identifier and example details in the URL fragment. Fragments are not automatically sent in an HTTP request, but scripts on the original page can read them. The extension does not send this to a developer-operated endpoint. Netflix processes its own page requests.

The extension does not record or download video/audio or bypass DRM.

On standard YouTube watch pages, the extension reads the rendered transcript, cue start times, video ID and title. It may activate the description-expansion and Show transcript controls. It does not call a private caption API. Automatic-caption errors and page changes can affect results. Recommended videos are a bundled static list; selecting one opens YouTube. The platform handles its own network traffic.

4. Optional translation

On supported desktop Chrome browsers, selecting translation preparation uses Chrome's built-in Translator. Translation uses the selected learning and translation language pair; actual availability depends on Chrome, the pair and device conditions. Chrome may download a language model on first use, requiring network access and storage space. No extension code sends subtitles to a developer-operated translation server. Ordinary translations are cached temporarily in the current tab's memory. If you save a word from the tooltip, its meaning is also stored locally with the word and example and included in JSON backups.

Availability and model-download requirements are described in the Chrome Translator documentation.

The currently available listening feature replays the original video. Synthetic-speech instant playback is not offered in the current user interface. Before enabling it in a future release, its actual speech service and data handling will be reviewed and this policy updated.

5. Storage, retention and deletion

Records and caches use chrome.storage.local and are not automatically synchronized to a cloud account. They do not expire automatically. Archiving removes a record from the review queue; it does not erase the record. Removing a category may also leave the underlying record. Unsaving a word removes it from the displayed word list but retains its meanings, examples and unsaved status in local records and JSON backups; it is not complete erasure. The reviewed version has no dedicated erase-all or subtitle-cache cleanup control.

Back up anything you want to keep, then removing the extension clears its Chrome local storage. Reinstalling does not restore those records unless you import a backup. Exported files and other copies you make are not deleted when you remove the extension; you must manage them separately. Device and Chrome-profile backups follow the settings of the tools you use.

The study-home JSON backup includes sentences, notes, review state, journal entries, words and examples. It excludes full subtitle caches, settings, guide-dismissal preferences and random-review presentation history. Imports merge records and keep a local pre-import safety copy of sentences, journals and words. This is not a full profile backup. The reviewed version uses Korea Standard Time for study dates.

6. Exports, sharing and third parties

You may request local JSON, HTML or TSV exports. Depending on the export, files may contain subtitles, title links, notes, review records or journal entries; JSON also includes words and examples, including unsaved entries. The publisher does not automatically receive these files. Sharing a file or importing it into another service is your choice and is subject to that service's policies.

The reviewed extension includes no advertising SDK or developer-operated analytics/remote-error endpoint. It does not give the publisher automatic access to your local study content. Study and viewing data are not sold, provided to advertisers or used for personalized advertising or credit decisions.

7. Protection and limited use

The extension does not implement its own at-rest encryption or encrypted exports. Local browser storage and exported files are not guaranteed secret vaults. Avoid putting passwords or sensitive personal information in study notes, and protect access to your device, Chrome profile and files.

Listen Again limits its use of user data to its disclosed listening-study features and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use restrictions. Any future change in processing must be reflected in the product, this policy and its store disclosures.

8. Contact and updates

Files you voluntarily send for support are separate from the extension's local study storage. Share only necessary details and remove personal notes and account information first. Email inquiries use the address, message and attachments you send to investigate and reply. Publisher-managed inquiries, replies and copies are deleted within 30 days after resolution. Google processes Gmail under its own privacy policy.

Policy updates will appear here with a revised effective date. GitHub Pages processing is described in the public-page hosting section below. This information page contains no tracking scripts, external fonts or external images.

9. 문의와 권리 요청 / Support and data requests

현재 Google Forms 문의 폼은 연결하지 않았습니다. 이메일 문의는 사용자가 직접 보내는 내용만 처리하며 학습 기록·영상 주소를 자동 첨부하지 않습니다. 비밀번호·인증 쿠키·결제 정보·전체 학습 백업·자막 전문을 보내지 마세요. 문의 해결 후 30일 이내 운영자 관리 문의·회신·사본을 삭제합니다. 이는 Google의 모든 시스템·백업 사본이 같은 기간에 제거된다는 약속은 아닙니다.

열람·정정·삭제·처리정지 등 개인정보 문의는 jhbak5544@gmail.com으로 보낼 수 있습니다. 운영자는 이용자 기기의 학습 기록을 원격으로 열람·삭제할 수 없습니다. 로컬 기록은 이용자가 직접 관리해야 합니다. 문의에 이메일 제공업체가 처리하는 내용은 Google 개인정보처리방침을 확인하세요. 문의 폼 등 새로운 채널을 연결할 때는 실제 처리 조건과 방침을 먼저 갱신합니다.

The Google Forms inquiry form is not connected. Email support handles only what you send; study records and video URLs are not attached automatically. Do not send passwords, authentication cookies, payment information, full study backups or full transcripts. Publisher-managed inquiries, replies and copies are deleted within 30 days after resolution. This is not a promise that every Google system or backup removes copies on the same schedule.

For privacy requests, including access, correction, deletion or restriction, contact jhbak5544@gmail.com. The publisher cannot remotely access or erase study records on your device. You manage those records locally. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing of Gmail. Before connecting a new support channel, its processing conditions and this policy will be updated.

저장한 자막의 IPA와 한글 참고 발음은 확장에 포함한 CMUdict를 로컬에서 조회해 계산합니다. 이 기능은 자막 텍스트를 발음 서버로 전송하거나 배우 음성을 녹음·분석하지 않습니다. 사전과 원문 라이선스·출처를 배포 파일에 포함합니다. 발음 표기는 화면에서 계산하며 별도의 발음 기록을 외부로 전송하지 않습니다.

IPA and Korean pronunciation hints are computed locally from the bundled CMUdict. This feature does not send subtitle text to a pronunciation server or record/analyze actor audio. The dictionary, original license and provenance are bundled with the extension.

공개 안내 페이지 호스팅 / Public-page hosting

이 안내 페이지를 GitHub Pages로 공개하면 GitHub가 페이지를 제공합니다. GitHub 공식 안내에 따르면 로그인 여부와 관계없이 방문자의 IP 주소가 보안을 위해 기록·저장됩니다. 확장의 로컬 학습 기록을 GitHub로 업로드하는 기능과는 별개입니다. 이 페이지에는 운영자 분석 도구·문의 입력 폼·외부 폰트·외부 이미지가 없습니다.
